ALWAYS FLUKE (H252): Bumped at the start. After the race, W Buick stated that whilst his mount had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the Home Straight, it finished the race off in a one-paced manner. However, he was not able to fully test it over the concluding stages when positioned behind CHAMPION METHOD. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
AMAZING RUN (H401): After the race, J McDonald stated that his instructions from the outside barrier were to ride his mount conservatively in the early stages to endeavour to have it finish the race off. Trainer D A Hayes confirmed the instructions issued. Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING RUN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
FAST AS ROCKET (H375): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of AMAZING RUN to obtain clear running.

VULCANUS (J150): On arrival at the Start, it was noted that VULCANUS had lost its left front plate. This plate was refitted. VULCANUS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
LESS IS MORE (H406): Bumped at the start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, LESS IS MORE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
