GOLDEN TITLE (H100): No report. THE ABSOLUTE (H438): When questioned, L Ferraris reported that the intention was to hold a forward position, but on jumping his mount blundered when struck itself and as a result made contact with ACA POWER and lost ground. He said as a consequence he elected to ride THE ABSOLUTE in a conservative manner in the early stages to avoid making use of his mount to go forward. He added throughout the early stages THE ABSOLUTE over-raced as he endeavoured to obtain cover behind GOLDEN TITLE and for this reason rather than continuing to restrain his mount to obtain cover he elected to allow THE ABSOLUTE to stride forward from the 900 Metres to obtain a trailing position behind YOUTH POWER. He stated although obliged to race in a three wide position, he was able to obtain cover throughout the middle stages and when placed under pressure in the Home Straight THE ABSOLUTE lay out and finished the race off only fairly. After the race, the horse was noted to be making an abnormal respiratory noise. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, THE ABSOLUTE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TOP SCORER (J120): Sent for sampling post-race. JUMBO FORTUNE (G195): Jumped only fairly. CIRCUIT MIGHTY (G078): No report. CALL ME SUPREME (J202): Approaching the 800 Metres, when being shifted in behind runners, shifted in abruptly, resulting in its rider H Bowman having to correct his mount. NEVER PETER OUT (J200): After the 900 Metres improved to the inside of SKY TRUST and then was steadied when momentarily crowded by that runner. OWNERS' PRAISE (H047): Between the 300 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running. Sent for sampling post-race. SKY TRUST (J161): No report. YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176): Shortly after the start raced in restricted room to the inside of NEVER PETER OUT. TRAVEL GOLF (H063): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. ACA POWER (E144): After the race, A Badel reported that from a wide barrier and his mount stepping up to 1400 Metres, he was instructed to take up a more forward position, however, ACA POWER was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. JOYFUL FRIENDSHIP (H295): No report. YOUTH POWER (H358): No report.
