FLAGSHIP WARRIOR (G452): Crowded shortly after the start. After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount travelled well during the run, however, failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure and gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, FLAGSHIP WARRIOR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HUGE WAVE (J197): No report.
SUMMIT IMPACT (J125): No report.
HOLY LAKE (H260): Shifted out at the 150 Metres and was bumped. Sent for sampling post-race.
STAR CONTACT (E472): Sent for sampling post-race.
BEATO (H090): Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost ground. Before being allowed to race again, BEATO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
LOYAL BO BO (J011): After the race, K C Leung reported that his mount travelled only fairly during the event and changed its lead leg on a number of occasions. He added with the early pace of the event being run inside of standard time and LOYAL BO BO being up in class, his mount did not finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUNSTRIDER (J168): Jumped only fairly and then shortly after was checked when crowded between FLAGSHIP WARRIOR which was taken out by SUMMIT IMPACT and POWERFUL WINGS which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider after being bumped by ACCOLADE START. After the race, Z Purton stated that after being checked at the start his mount settled back than what had been intended. He added when placed under pressure in the Home Straight SUNSTRIDER found the line reasonably well, but, in his opinion, would appreciate being stepped up in distance. Sent for sampling post-race.
ACCOLADE START (H331): No report.
BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215): Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
POWERFUL WINGS (G225): Bumped shortly after the start and made contact with SUNSTRIDER. Over the concluding stages lay in and proved difficult to ride out.
WINNING DATA (H230): No report.
TALENTS AMBITION (J136): Near the 150 Metres was bumped by HOLY LAKE which shifted out to improve.
