CELESTIAL COLOURS (H362): After the race, H Bowman stated that his instructions were to endeavour to lead tonight. He said after his mount began only fairly and he observed a number of runners to his inside going forward, he elected to shift his mount across behind runners in the early stages to avoid racing wide. He said as a result CELESTIAL COLOURS raced further back than intended. He added that when crowded to the inside of ASTROLOGER approaching the 400 Metres, his mount lost momentum at that stage and as a result was unable to finish the race off from that point. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ASTROLOGER (G102): No report. BEAUTY INFINITY (H377): Bumped near the 300 Metres when being shifted out. HAPPY UNITED (H208): No report. NEVER TOO SOON (E434): Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by COPARTNER PRANCE a short distance later. Held up on the Home Turn. Sent for sampling post-race. COPARTNER PRANCE (H408): Sent for sampling post-race. CONTI CONTI (J166): No report. FASHION LEGEND (J080): Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by CONTI CONTI which shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MAGIC PHOENIX (E440): Bumped at the start by KA YING CHEER which shifted out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. CALIFORNIA CIBLE (E431): Knuckled over badly on jumping, resulting in its rider Apprentice Y L Chung becoming badly unbalanced and CALIFORNIA CIBLE losing ground. Approaching the 400 Metres when racing tight to the inside of CELESTIAL COLOURS was steadied when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of CELESTIAL COLOURS which was in turn racing tight to the inside of ASTROLOGER. KA YING CHEER (H369): Bumped at the start. Approaching the 300 Metres made contact with BEAUTY INFINITY when that runner shifted to the outside of COPARTNER PRANCE to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.
