GO GO GO (H196): Held up for clear running making the Home Turn and near the 350 Metres was steadied when disappointing for clear running between GOLDEN FAIRY and FRUITY WARRIOR which was giving ground. As a consequence, GO GO GO did not obtain clear running until near the 300 Metres. WINNING TURN (J163): When under pressure making the Home Turn and in the Home Straight hung out and proved difficult to ride. After the event, M Chadwick advised that from a wide barrier and his mount stepping up in distance, he was asked to take up a forward position. He said after complying with his instructions, WINNING TURN was able to lead the event. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued and stated WINNING TURN had settled a little further back than intended at its last start. NICE BIRDIE (G470): After the event, H Bowman stated that his mount jumped only fairly and as a consequence settled a little further back than intended but he could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of NICE BIRDIE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, NICE BIRDIE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FRUITY WARRIOR (J035): After the event, B Avdulla stated that after obtaining a position outside the lead his mount came under pressure on the Home Turn and weakened noticeably in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from the left nostril. An endoscopic examination confirmed the horse to be a bleeder. Before being allowed to race again, FRUITY WARRIOR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. FURY AND GOLD (H202): Jumped only fairly. After the event, C L Chau stated that his saddle shifted back shortly after the start, placing him at some disadvantage during the running of the event. GO HERO (H315): After the event, Y L Chung reported that his mount did not appreciate racing in amongst other horses on the All Weather surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GOLDEN FAIRY (E448): No report. SUNNY BABY (E166): Jumped only fairly. COLOURFUL BARON (G301): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. KEEN UNITY (G298): Sent for sampling post-race. JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072): No report.
