SUPER JOY N FUN (J164): After the event, C L Chau advised that from the outside barrier and with the expected fast early pace, he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages and also to attempt to race on the rail. Assistant Trainer H W Cheung confirmed the instructions issued. SUGAR SUGAR (G016): Sent for sampling post-race. DIVANO (J142): No report. GUSTOSISIMO (J303): Jumped only fairly. Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. Held up on the Home Turn. HAPPY FAT CAT (G166): No report. MAGNIAC (H141): No report. HARMONY FIRE (E175): Bumped shortly after the start. Again bumped after the 600 Metres and became unbalanced. BEAUTY INFINITY (H377): Jumped only fairly and was bumped shortly after the start by HARMONY FIRE which shifted out. Approaching the 300 Metres improved into a tight run between SUGAR SUGAR and HARMONY FIRE and made contact with SUGAR SUGAR. SWIFT ASCEND (H395): After the 600 Metres made contact with HARMONY FIRE and became unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race. SCOTCH TYCOON (G088): After the event, L Ferraris reported that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by DIVANO and as a consequence gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SERGEANT PEPPER (E432): No report. BITS SUPERSTAR (J362): No report.
