CASA LEGEND (G126): After the event, M F Poon stated that, in his opinion, the horse may not have run out the 1800 Metres of today’s event. Trainer C W Chang confirmed that he had been pleased with the work of CASA LEGEND leading into today’s event and agreed with Jockey Poon that CASA LEGEND did not run out the 1800 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CASA LEGEND was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, CASA LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PAKISTAN FRIEND (B370): Bumped after the 500 Metres. After the event, Z Purton could offer no excuse for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471): Approaching the winning post lay in and was steadied away from the heels of KINGLY DEMEANOR. Sent for sampling post-race. FURY AND GOLD (H202): No report. INVINCIBLE MISSILE (C037): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MISTER FOX (J059): Made contact with the left side of its barrier on jumping. Passing the 400 Metres A Badel dropped his whip. TURTLE AGAIN (H083): Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 800 Metres was briefly crowded to the inside of PAKISTAN FRIEND. After the 500 Metres was bumped by PAKISTAN FRIEND which shifted out and away from E TALENT. HARRY'S HERO (H332): After the event, M Chadwick advised that he was instructed to take up a forward position. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued. KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486): Sent for sampling post-race. SUNNY BABY (E166): Jumped only fairly. SPLENDID STAR (G026): Slow to begin. E TALENT (H310): On jumping was crowded between HARRY’S HERO and CASA LEGEND which shifted out.
