THE KHAN (H489): Near the 500 Metres shifted out and made contact with FLYING ROMANTIC. After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount raced keenly in the early and middle stages. He said for some distance near the 300 Metres THE KHAN had difficulty obtaining clear running between SUNNY SHINES and FLYING ROMANTIC but after this finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SKYEY BLUE (J212): For a short distance near the 50 Metres C L Chau could not fully test his mount when he momentarily lost control of his whip which was in his left hand. HOSS (H055): Bumped at the start. LINK (J177): Jumped awkwardly. SUPER GLORY (J025): Approaching the 350 Metres was disappointed for clear running between BEAU GOSSE and FIRE BALL and was then shifted to the inside of BEAU GOSSE to obtain clear running. SUPER WISE DRAGON (G475): Sent for sampling post-race. CHILLI BABA (G339): Slow to begin. After the event, A Atzeni could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CHILLI BABA was considered disappointing as compared to its last start. Before being allowed to race again, CHILLI BABA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FLYING ROMANTIC (J057): Bumped near the 500 Metres. OMAKASE (H416): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, OMAKASE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SO AWESOME (D258): Near the 450 Metres was bumped when taken wider by SUPER WISE DRAGON which shifted out to improve. FIRE BALL (D087): Sent for sampling post-race. HAPPY FEELING (H443): Jumped only fairly. BEAU GOSSE (G389): Bumped at the start. Over-raced when positioned outside the lead in the early stages. SUNNY SHINES (H484): Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
