ARIEL (G223): No report. DEVAS TWELVE (H435): Crowded on jumping. After the event, C Y Ho reported that near the 170 Metres his mount attempted to jump a mark on the track. FLYING LUCK (J339): Slow to begin. Passing the 400 Metres was bumped by GOLDEN DARCI. Sent for sampling post-race. SOLID WIN (J225): Crowded on jumping. SATIRICAL GLORY (H073): After the event, M F Poon reported that his mount was disadvantaged by the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time and as a consequence did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. JUMBO FORTUNE (G195): Crowded shortly after the start. MATSU VICTOR (H472): Jumped only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race. SPECIAL HEDGE (H354): Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and was bumped heavily. GOLDEN DARCI (H470): After the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between SATIRICAL GLORY and FLYING LUCK. In this incident, GOLDEN DARCI shifted out and made contact with FLYING LUCK. SMART BEAUTY (G477): No report. SMILING EMPEROR (J371): Bumped shortly after the start. After the event, K C Leung reported that his instructions were to endeavour to go forward and lead the event. He said as a result in the early stages he rode his mount along to comply with the instructions issued. He added when unable to cross runners to his inside in the early stages SMILING EMPEROR was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result gave ground in the Home Straight. Trainer K H Ting confirmed the instructions and said such instructions were issued on the basis that the horse had not performed in its previous runs when ridden in a conservative manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have an epiglottic entrapment. SOARING BRONCO (J162): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. ALP'S AFFECTION (J289): Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between SMILING EMPEROR and SOARING BRONCO which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. After the event, A Hamelin reported that his mount raced "flat” today and he could offer no explanation for its performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SMASHING EXPRESS (J252): Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between SMART BEAUTY and JUMBO FORTUNE which was taken in by SPECIAL HEDGE after SPECIAL HEDGE shifted in when making heavy contact with DEVAS TWELVE at the start. CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132): Withdrawn on 21.11.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SPECIAL HEDGE. Before being allowed to race again, CALIFORNIA BANNER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
