SKY TRUST (J161): Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the right side of its barrier, became unbalanced and lost ground. In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 650 Metres was steadied when positioned close to REZEKI. STAR CONTACT (E472): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. BEAUTY CRESCENT (H334): Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with HONG LOK GOLF. After the event, L Ferraris stated that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and as a result did not run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FIGHTING MACHINE (J015): No report. CHAIN OF GOLD (J138): No report. HONG LOK GOLF (J517): Bumped on jumping. Lay out in the Home Straight and near the 150 Metres shifted out, resulting in its rider H Bentley having to stop riding, straighten and pull his whip through to his left hand. After the event, H Bentley reported that with his mount starting from an inside barrier he was given the option of holding a more forward position. He said when HONG LOK GOLF commenced well and the early stages of the race were run outside of standard time he was able to lead the event. Sent for sampling post-race. SKY JEWELLERY (K032): In the Home Straight lay in. Near the 200 Metres shifted in, resulting in its rider B Avdulla having to stop riding and straighten. Again near the 100 Metres, B Avdulla was required to stop riding and straighten when SKY JEWELLERY continued to lay in. Over the concluding stages B Avdulla dropped his right rein. Sent for sampling post-race. KING MILES (J158): Shifted out at the start and got its head up when being corrected by its rider. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of SKY TRUST. RIDING TOGETHER (K081): On jumping was bumped on the hindquarters by SKY TRUST and became unbalanced. YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529): On jumping was crowded between FIGHTING MACHINE and AMAZING VICTORY. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. AMAZING VICTORY (G123): Crowded at the start. After the event, L Hewitson confirmed that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. REZEKI (J340): No report.
