APOLAR FIGHTER (J169): Near the 600 Metres lay in and was bumped. THE WAY WE WIN (J493): Shifted in shortly after the start, was bumped and became unbalanced. KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486): Leaving the 600 Metres made contact with the running rail when racing tight to the inside of APOLAR FIGHTER which lay in despite the efforts of its rider. After the event B Thompson could offer no excuse for his mount’s failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CHILLI BABA (G339): Slow to begin and shortly after the start was crowded between JOYFUL CHAMPION and STRONGEST BOY. After the event A Hamelin reported that his mount came under pressure near the 700 Metres, changed stride and then commenced to give ground. He said when he felt there was something amiss with his mount he retired it from the event after the 500 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CHILLI BABA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CHILLI BABA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments. FLYING SILVER (E478): No report. STRONGEST BOY (H027): Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between JOYFUL CHAMPION and LEATHER MASTER, both of which shifted ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. VERBIER (J187): Sent for sampling post-race. SUPER HONG KONG (D241): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event Z Purton stated that he was satisfied with his horse’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MR ALADDIN (H386): Over the concluding stages shifted to the outside of LEATHER MASTER to continue into clear running when LEATHER MASTER shifted out slightly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. LEATHER MASTER (H034): Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters by THE WAY WE WIN and became unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race. JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072): No report. WINNING SEVEN (J005): Jumped only fairly.
