MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE (J325): Near the 250 Metres race tight between TIER FLY and RIGHTEOUS ARION which shifted out slightly. Sent for sampling post-race. SAVVY BRILLIANT (J437): A Atzeni was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time. In the early stages raced keenly and approaching the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied to obtain a position behind REGAL GEM. SAVVY BRILLIANT continued to race keenly in the middle stages. Leaving the 600 Metres shifted in when racing tight to the inside of CHARMING BABE, made contact with KEMPES and became unbalanced. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the final 150 Metres was positioned close to KEMPES and as a result could not be fully ridden out. SUPER LEGENDS (H364): Bumped shortly after the start. After the event Apprentice E C W Wong reported that the instructions were to endeavour to lead the event. He said when unable to cross runners to his inside in the early stages his mount settled further back than intended. He added SUPER LEGENDS lay in in the middle stages and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. INFINITE RESOLVE (K369): After the event L Ferraris stated that his mount hung in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight and proved difficult to ride. Sent for sampling post-race. TURIN STARSPANGLED (J209): After the event K C Leung confirmed that with the horse dropping back in distance he was instructed to ride it in a conservative manner in the early stages from the outside barrier. He added that in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding and was coughing. Trainer P C Ng confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TURIN STARSPANGLED will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. KEMPES (J265): Jumped awkwardly. Crowded leaving the 600 Metres. RIGHTEOUS ARION (H059): A Badel was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time. STELLAR SWIFT (J139): Approaching the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when attempting to improve into a narrow run to the inside of RIGHTEOUS ARION. As a result STELLAR SWIFT could not be ridden out fully to the finish when it continued to race tight to the inside of RIGHTEOUS ARION. TIER FLY (K311): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Near the 250 Metres was bumped by INFINITE RESOLVE which hung in. REGAL GEM (K258): Raced keenly in the early stages when being crossed by RIGHTEOUS ARION. CHARMING BABE (J513): Shortly after the start bumped with SUPER LEGENDS and then was crowded by TIER FLY which shifted in. In the Home Straight lay in. SAVVY WARRIOR (K257): Approaching the 900 Metres was steadied when being shifted behind SAVVY BRILLIANT to obtain cover.
