LIGHT YEARS GLORY (K204): In the early part of the Home Straight hung in and had difficulty obtaining clear running when it proved reluctant to shift to the outside of MOTOR. Sent for sampling post-race. KING DANCE (K157): Jumped only fairly. MAZING GRACE (K166): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MOTOR (K165): Sent for sampling post-race. SPARKLE AND GOLD (K259): Raced greenly in the early stages and making the first turn lay out and shifted out and away from EMERGING STAR. YOUNG FIGHTER (K464): No report. ALABAMA SONG (K480): Near the 150 Metres lay out, resulting in its rider B Avdulla changing his whip through to his left hand. Sent for sampling post-race. EMERGING STAR (K390): Bumped shortly after the start. A short distance later was steadied to avoid LIGHT YEARS GLORY (M Chadwick) which shifted in when not clear. M Chadwick was severely reprimanded. Approaching the first turn commenced to race keenly and shifted out when being steadied away from YOUNG FIGHTER. EMERGING STAR then hung out making the first turn and as a consequence raced wide and without cover thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FIELD MARSHAL (K433): No report. JUST FOLLOW ME (K332): Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 900 Metres was eased when being crossed by YOUNG FIGHTER. Approaching the 500 Metres was bumped and became unbalanced when SUPER DRAGON shifted to the outside of KING DANCE to commence a forward move. SUPER DRAGON (K389): After the event L Ferraris stated that the intention was to hold a midfield position but when his mount jumped only fairly it settled further back in the field. He said approaching the first turn near the 900 Metres SUPER DRAGON, which was having it first race start, became badly unbalanced when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of JUST FOLLOW ME. He said SUPER DRAGON then continued to race greenly for the remainder of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WINNING CHAMPION (K429): Near the 150 Metres was eased when crowded between MOTOR and ALABAMA SONG which shifted out abruptly. After the event M F Poon stated that the intention was to hold a midfield position. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow WINNING CHAMPION to continue forward to avoid covering additional ground.
