GORGEOUS WIN (J008): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. LADY'S CHOICE (H155): No report. TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303): Jumped only fairly. MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE (J325): Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event Z Purton stated that after settling back in the field from its wide barrier his mount raced keenly in the middle stages. He said in the Home Straight MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE finished the race off fairly but he was not too disappointed with its performance given that it was required to make up ground from back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. COLOURFUL KING (K227): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Y L Chung (SELF IMPROVEMENT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 100 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when not clear of COLOURFUL KING, resulting in COLOURFUL KING being checked to avoid SELF IMPROVEMENT. In accordance with previous practices, Y L Chung was fined the sum of $35,000 in lieu of a one-day suspension. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. DANCING CODE (G365): Sent for sampling post-race. CALL ME GLORIOUS (H410): Jumped only fairly. SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337): Y L Chung pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 100 Metres (see COLOURFUL KING). HARMONY N BLESSED (E061): Sent for sampling post-race. MUST GO (J133): No report. AERIS NOVA (J534): On jumping was steadied when crowded between GORGEOUS WIN and COLOURFUL KING, both of which shifted ground.
