ANODE (K367): Jumped only fairly.
CROSSBORDERPEGASUS (K008): When questioned Z Purton stated that after entering the Home Straight when being placed under pressure CROSSBORDERPEGASUS commenced to hang in. He said near the 250 Metres he then pulled his whip through to his right hand after which CROSSBORDERPEGASUS then hung in severely which restricted his ability to fully ride the horse out to the finish of the race as he was concerned it would shift in and interfere with runners positioned to his inside. He added that over the concluding stages when he was satisfied CROSSBORDERPEGASUS was in a winning position he placed further pressure to his left rein to ensure that runners positioned to his inside had comfortable racing room and as a result was unable to ride his mount out to the finish. Trainer J Size stated that he has endeavoured to improve the horse’s racing manners by placing a butterfly bit on CROSSBORDERPEGASUS to prevent it from hanging in. He said, in his view, CROSSBORDERPEGASUS’ racing manners will improve with further racing and by being stepped up in distance for its next race start. After considering the matter the Stewards placed a warning on the racing manners of CROSSBORDERPEGASUS and advised Mr Size that the horse’s racing manners are now placed on notice and should it race in a similar manner in future where it comprises its placing in the field the Stewards may take further action against the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
SUPER FORTUNE (G065): Over the final 200 Metres lay in when under pressure, resulting in its rider Y L Chung having to straighten on a number of occasions. Sent for sampling post-race.
ALL ROUND WINNER (K382): Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
ANOTHER ZONDA (K176): After the event C L Chau stated that the instructions were to hold a handy position with cover. He said in the early stages when positioned three wide to the outside of KA YING ATTACK he was obliged to allow ANOTHER ZONDA to go forward and race outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground.
KA YING ATTACK (J391): Over the concluding stages lay in away from CROSSBORDERPEGASUS when racing tight to the inside of that runner.
LUCKY TWIN STARS (K126): Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by ALL ROUND WINNER which shifted out.
KING OF DUBAI (J433): Over the final 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when endeavouring to improve between ANOTHER ZONDA and SUPER FORTUNE.
BALLISTIC WIN (J040): No report.
SPEEDY TRIDENT (K230): No report.
