MAGIC CONTROL (J333): In the middle stages raced keenly. Near the 700 Metres improved to the inside of BEAUTY WAVES and was steadied to avoid that runner when it shifted in slightly. Over the concluding stages was unable to be ridden out by its rider K H Chan when he corrected his mount due to it shifting in towards RAGING BLIZZARD. RAGING BLIZZARD (H368): Jumped only fairly. Near the 250 Metres briefly raced tight to the inside of KAHOLO ANGEL which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of MAGIC CONTROL which shifted in when giving ground. After the event H Bowman stated that his mount finished the race off satisfactorily in the Home Straight from back in the field and in the circumstances he was not too disappointed with the performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BEAUTY WAVES (H294): Sent for sampling post-race. MAJESTIC KNIGHT (G258): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the event L Ferraris stated that the intention was to settle further back in the field. He added that his mount jumped well and as a consequence raced in a more forward position. KAHOLO ANGEL (H216): Making the Home Turn was steadied to avoid AERIS NOVA. KAHOLO ANGEL was then shifted to the inside of AERIS NOVA where it obtained clear running near the 300 Metres. Near the 250 Metres shifted in and was then corrected by its rider Apprentice E C W Wong. AURORA LADY (J066): No report. FULL CREDIT (J185): In the early stages raced keenly. After the event M F Poon reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303): Sent for sampling post-race. BRAVE STAR (G268): Bumped at the start. SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. AERIS NOVA (J534): Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 600 Metres shifted in and away from FULL CREDIT and made contact with the running rail. STORM RIDER (J027): Bumped at the start.
