GREEN SUPREME was slow to begin. MY MATE ADRIC began awkwardly. WINNING EDGE was checked at the start when crowded for room between WINNING FELLOWSHIP and DRAGON VICTORY which shifted in. HORSESHOE FORTUNE began awkwardly and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of ABSOLUTE HEDGE. Approaching the 600 Metres, WEI HAI INVINCIBLE got its head on the side and hung out. Approaching the 300 Metres, HORSESHOE FORTUNE was steadied when disappointed for running between ABSOLUTE HEDGE and O’REILLY MAGIC, both of which shifted ground. In the Straight, ROYAL PANACHE hung in and proved difficult to ride and after the 200 Metres D Beadman changed the whip from his left hand into his right hand. A veterinary inspection of WINNING FELLOWSHIP (B Doyle) after the race did not show any significant findings. B Doyle reported that throughout the race WINNING FELLOWSHIP did not stretch out as it had done in the past and, in his opinion, did not seem to appreciate today’s track conditions. A veterinary inspection of DRAGON VICTORY after the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being permitted to race again, DRAGON VICTORY will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WINNING EDGE and MY MATE ADRIC were sent for sampling. <27/9/2010 Additional Veterinary Reports > WINNING FELLOWSHIP, which performed poorly, was examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison. He said at that time there were no significant findings. WINNING FELLOWSHIP was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer S Woods this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING FELLOWSHIP will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that GREEN SUPREME was lame in the left front knee and had a corneal ulcer to the left eye on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, GREEN SUPREME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
