MAJESTIC HEART got its head in the air on jumping and consequently lost ground. Making the first turn near the 2000 Metres, HAPPY SEVEN was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ALMIGHTY WINDPOWER. Near the 850 Metres, HAPPY SEVEN and OWNERS’ GLORY bumped as OWNERS’ GLORY attempted to shift to the outside of GLORY OF INDIA. Approaching the 200 Metres, GLORY OF INDIA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HELENE WITTY when being shifted to the inside of that horse to obtain clear running. Over the concluding stages, GLORY OF INDIA and HELENE WITTY raced tight due to HELENE WITTY shifting in slightly. Trainer K L Man reported that it was his intention to have HAPPY SEVEN, which was having its first start over the distance tonight, ridden more quietly in an endeavour to have it see out the distance of the race and be able to close off the race. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MAJESTIC HEART had lost its left front plate and that OWNERS’ GLORY had lost its right front plate. A veterinary inspection of ALMIGHTY WINDPOWER after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ALMIGHTY WINDPOWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WIN PRACTITIONER and GLORY OF INDIA were sent for sampling.
