RAY’S FAVOURITE, which was fractious in the barriers, lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began awkwardly. HEI HEI POSH was slow to begin. From wide barriers, HAPPY SCORE and HOME WITH GLORY were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Soon after the start, CLASSIC AWARDS was steadied away from the heels of GRAND ELITE which shifted out. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ALMIGHTY WINDPOWER got its head on the side and became unbalanced after shifting in towards the heels of JUGGERNAUT. Throughout the race, ALMIGHTY WINDPOWER travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of HOME WITH GLORY and MOUNT VICTORY after the race did not show any significant findings. GRAND ELITE and RAY’S FAVOURITE were sent for sampling. <10/5/2012 Additional Veterinary Report> ALMIGHTY WINDPOWER was reported to have bled from both nostrils on return to the stables of Trainer J Size after racing last night. This finding was confirmed this morning by the Clinical Veterinary Surgeon.
