SUNSHINE BOY was slow to begin. FORTUNE TERRITORY was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied away from the hindquarters of LIVERPOOL LAD. Making the first turn near the 850 Metres, IDYLLIC WIND was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HINYUEN PALADIN which shifted in when barely clear. In this incident, IDYLLIC WIND shifted in and brushed MY WHISKY which became unbalanced. FORTUNE TERRITORY which was following and which was proving difficult to settle, got its head on the side and hung out when being steadied away from the heels of MY WHISKY and in doing so took FASTPLUS MASTER and HO HO BROTHER wider. Near the 700 Metres, MY WHISKY and HINYUEN PALADIN momentarily raced tight inside TIME RUNNER which throughout the race travelled wide and without cover and consequently gave ground in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of TIME RUNNER after the race revealed the horse to be lame in the right front leg. The performance of TIME RUNNER was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, TIME RUNNER will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the 350 Metres, LIVERPOOL LAD was shifted in when disappointed for running between BELIEVE IN CHANCE which shifted out and SUNSHINE BOY which shifted in after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of TIMER RUNNER which was giving ground. A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE TERRITORY including an endoscopic examination after the race showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE TERRITORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HINYUEN PALADIN, DRAGIMOVA and MY WHISKY were sent for sampling.
