GLORY WIN was withdrawn on 22.9.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetance) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter CITY DELIGHT (K C Leung). Before being allowed to race again, GLORY WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On arrival at the barriers, D Whyte expressed concern over BOSAMBO’s action. An examination of BOSAMBO by the Veterinary Surgeon found the horse to be lame in the left front leg. Acting on this advice, BOSAMBO was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, BOSAMBO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MR MARFACH was slow to begin. NAUGHTY BABY was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of LOVING ALL which shifted out. Shortly after the start, YOUNG HERO was crowded for room between CHATER D’CAT and SUPER BRAND which shifted in and then itself raced tight inside SUISSE D’OR. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, LOVING ALL became unbalanced after racing in restricted room between PEGASUS SUPREME and OUR DYNASTY. For some distance after the 700 Metres, NAUGHTY BABY and OUR DYNASTY raced tight inside SUPER BRAND which commenced to give ground. After this, NAUGHTY BABY was taken back through the field and approaching the 400 Metres was checked away from the heels of LOVING ALL before being able to be shifted to the outside of the heels of that horse after the 400 Metres. For some distance after the 500 Metres, CHATER D’CAT was awkwardly placed close to the heels of OUR DYNASTY. After the 200 Metres, CHATER D’CAT was awkwardly placed behind BESPOKE MASTER and SUISSE D’OR. For the majority of the race, BESPOKE MASTER travelled wide and without cover. The performances of SUPER BRAND, LOVING ALL and CITY DELIGHT, all of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER BRAND, LOVING ALL and CITY DELIGHT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of SUPER BRAND after the race did not show any significant findings, however, an endoscopic examination was not able to be conducted on the horse. A veterinary inspection of NAUGHTY BABY and CITY DELIGHT after the race did not show any significant findings. OUR DYNASTY, PEGASUS SUPREME and FORTUNE TOGETHER were sent for sampling. <24/9/2012 Additional Veterinary Report> The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that TRENDSETTER was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, TRENDSETTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
