GREAT STORM and CHARITY SPIRIT bumped at the start. CHOICE TREASURE shifted out at the start and bumped TAI SING YEH which became unbalanced. From a wide barrier, HAPPY YEAH YEAH was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Approaching the 600 Metres, BRAVENESS was steadied away from the heels of CAGA FORCE (K C Leung) which shifted in when not quite clear. K C Leung was reprimanded. Passing the 500 Metres, BRAVENESS was shifted out away from the heels of CAGA FORCE which momentarily raced tight inside LONDON CHINA TOWN. Close to the finishing line, CAGA FORCE got its head on the side and lay in. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of BEAUTY SPARKLE, D Whyte stated that his mount obtained a good position behind the joint leader BUNDLE OF LOVE. He said BEAUTY SPARKLE travelled well prior to the 400 Metres and he shifted his mount out into clear running at the entrance to the Straight. He said, despite being placed under pressure, BEAUTY SPARKLE did not respond to his riding and did not show any turn of foot. He added, in his opinion, BEAUTY SPARKLE was disappointing in its failure to finish off the race after travelling well in the early and middle stages. A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY SPARKLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of CHOICE TREASURE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BUNDLE OF JOY, MY NAME IS BOND and BUNDLE OF LOVE were sent for sampling. <10/4/2014 Additional Veterinary Reports>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that TAI SING YEH was lame in its left front suspensory on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, TAI SING YEH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
