INDUSTRIALIST WAY shifted in at the start, resulting in OXFORD CHARLEY and KHARU being hampered. ROCK THE TREE, DRAGON PINS and GOLDEN SCALPEL all began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, DRAGON was steadied away from the heels of HEI HEI POSH. C Reith, the rider of CHERYL’S HORSE, was spoken to regarding slackening the tempo of the race too abruptly approaching the 1300 Metres, resulting in OCEAN POWER and WIN IT being hampered and KHARU losing ground after having to be checked away from the heels of WIN IT. ROYALE ELEGANCE, which was following KHARU, was severely checked in consequence and lost a considerable amount of ground and causing TERRIFIC MASTER to be hampered. In this incident, DRAGON was also inconvenienced. At the 900 Metres, INDUSTRIALIST WAY raced tight inside GOLDEN SCALPEL when awkwardly placed close to the heels of ROCK THE TREE. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, OCEAN POWER was crowded for room inside MALAYAN PEARL (K C Leung) which shifted in momentarily. K C Leung was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside at all times. WIN IT, KHARU, ROYALE ELEGANCE and TERRIFIC MASTER, which were following OCEAN POWER, were all hampered in consequence. Near the 650 Metres, INDUSTRIALIST WAY raced tight between OCEAN POWER and ROCK THE TREE. In this incident, INDUSTRIALIST WAY shifted in, causing OCEAN POWER to be momentarily crowded for room. Approaching the 300 Metres, GOLDEN SCALPEL was steadied when disappointed for running between DRAGON PINS and ROCK THE TREE which shifted out. Near the 250 Metres, TERRIFIC MASTER was shifted out away from the heels of HEI HEI POSH and for some distance approaching the 100 Metres was awkwardly placed behind that horse. Throughout the race, ROCK THE TREE travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of ROYALE ELEGANCE, GOLDEN SCALPEL, DRAGON and KHARU immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of TERRIFIC MASTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, due to the fractious nature of the horse, an endoscopic examination was unable to be performed. DRAGON, INDUSTRIALIST WAY and MALAYAN PEARL were sent for sampling. <16/6/2014 Additional Veterinary Report>TERRIFIC MASTER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings, however, due to the fractious nature of the horse, an endoscopic examination was unable to be performed. TERRIFIC MASTER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he found the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, TERRIFIC MASTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
