Before being allowed to race again, LONDON CITY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When parading, STRATUM POWER made contact with a rail. On arrival at the barriers, STRATUM POWER was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be suitable to race. SHOW MISSION began awkwardly and lost ground. TEN SPEED began only fairly and then was bumped shortly after the start by WISKY which got its head on the side and shifted out away from BEST JADE TRIUMPH. PEACE COMBINATION shifted out at the start and bumped CAREFREE LET GO which was in turn taken out onto BEST JADE TRIUMPH. From a wide barrier, MAJOR CONNECTION was steadied in the early stages and taken across behind runners, however, for the majority of the race travelled wide and without cover and raced keenly. CAREFREE LET GO, VICTOR EMPEROR and CIRCUIT KING were sent for sampling.
