YOURTHEWONFORME began only fairly. BELOVED (Z Purton) lost ground when crowded for room on jumping between LAUGHING LORD and BORN TO RACE which shifted out. Z Purton stated that it had been intended for BELOVED to race in a forward position, however, after being crowded at the start, the horse was obliged to race further back in the field. TELECOM BOOM (K Teetan) shifted in abruptly at the start, resulting in ACTUARIAT being hampered and UNBEATABLE GUTS losing ground when crowded for room outside BLISS CARTEL. In this incident, UNBEATABLE GUTS stumbled. As the Stewards were satisfied that K Teetan has made all reasonable endeavours to prevent his mount from shifting ground, no further action was taken. After this, TELECOM BOOM lost its right hind plate. From a wide barrier, THE INVINCIBLE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1300 Metres, BORN TO RACE, which was being ridden along, was crowded for room between WINGOLD which shifted out initially and LAUGHING LORD which was taken in marginally by SNOWHOOVES. For some distance after the 1200 Metres, WINGOLD proved very difficult to settle when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SNOWHOOVES and after initially shifting in and crowding YOURTHEWONFORME then shifted out, causing LAUGHING LORD to be hampered. Passing the 700 Metres, SNOWHOOVES was awkwardly placed inside the heels of ACTUARIAT which shifted in marginally. Passing the 500 Metres, BELOVED was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FANTASTICLIFE after being disappointed for running inside that horse. After the 400 Metres, YOURTHEWONFORME was shifted to the inside of GOOD METHOD after being disappointed for running between that horse and SNOWHOOVES. When YOURTHEWONFORME was shifted in, BELOVED, which was racing to the inside of that horse, was directed to the inside of FANTASTICLIFE to obtain clear running. Throughout the race, ACTUARIAT travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of BELOVED, UNBEATABLE GUTS and WINGOLD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. YOURTHEWONFORME and ACTUARIAT were sent for sampling. <23/10/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>WINGOLD, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. WINGOLD was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A Lee this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, WINGOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
