THE SHOW shifted out at the start and bumped DUTCH WINDMILL. ZERO HEDGE and STARLOT bumped on jumping. Shortly after the start, HAPPY HAPPY, which began awkwardly, and STARLOT were crowded for room between ZERO HEDGE and APPLAUSE which shifted out after being bumped by CONFUCIUS SPIRIT. This resulted in HAPPY HAPPY making heavy contact with the hindquarters of STARLOT which was turned in across HAPPY HAPPY, causing that horse to be taken in and resulting in APPLAUSE being steadied when crowded for room outside CONFUCIUS SPIRIT which was racing tight outside DUTCH WINDMILL. From a wide barrier, LOVE CHUNGHWA was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. After initially being steadied in the early stages from the outside barrier, PEARL WARM WARM was left racing wide after travelling a short distance and was then allowed to improve its position. After the 900 Metres, DUTCH WINDMILL got its head on the side and hung in despite the efforts of its rider. DUTCH WINDMILL then continued to hang in and shift in away from STARLOT which resulted in THE SHOW racing tight inside DUTCH WINDMILL. DUTCH WINDMILL was then steadied after the 800 Metres when unable to maintain its position inside STARLOT. When DUTCH WINDMILL was unable to maintain its positon, HAPPY HAPPY was shifted out away from the heels of that horse, resulting in LOVE CHUNGHWA being taken wider and awkwardly placed outside the heels of HAPPY HAPPY after the 700 Metres. DUTCH WINDMILL continued to hang in for the remainder of the race and proved very difficult to ride. Before being allowed to race again, DUTCH WINDMILL will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend. Approaching and passing the 700 Metres, PADDINGTON raced tight inside PEARL WARM WARM. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, APPLAUSE shifted in and brushed the running rail. At the entrance to the Straight, ZERO HEDGE shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of PEARL WARM WARM which became unbalanced. LONDON MASTER was unable to obtain clear running in the Straight and near the 100 Metres bumped ZERO HEDGE when attempting to improve into tight running between that horse which raced tight inside STARLOT and DR PROACTIVE. This resulted in LONDON MASTER being disappointed for running passing the 100 Metres. Throughout the race, PADDINGTON travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of HAPPY HAPPY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HAPPY HAPPY, APPLAUSE and DR PROACTIVE were sent for sampling.
