PRINCE HARMONY began only fairly and then, despite being ridden along in the early stages, took some time to muster speed. CALIFORNIAGOLDRUSH was crowded for room on jumping between MAGNIFICENT which shifted out marginally and LEAN AMBASSADOR which shifted in. In this incident, MAGNIFICENT became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by CALIFORNIAGOLDRUSH. DECISIVE ACTION shifted in at the start and bumped FORZA ANGEL. Approaching the 900 Metres, DECISIVE ACTION got its head on the side and lay in away from FAIRY TWINS. Then passing the 900 Metres, DECISIVE ACTION was severely checked when crowded for room between FAIRY TWINS and CALIFORNIAGOLDRUSH (C Y Ho) which shifted out marginally away from the heels of AMBITIOUS HEART before getting its head on the side and shifting out further. LEAN AMBASSADOR, which was following DECISIVE ACTION, was checked away from the heels of that horse in consequence. C Y Ho was reprimanded and advised that whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, nonetheless he must ensure that he is properly clear of other runners when shifting ground. Passing the 850 Metres, FAIRY TWINS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of PRINCE HARMONY. At the 250 Metres, FAIRY TWINS was shifted out away from the heels of PRINCE HARMONY which shifted out away from CALIFORNIAGOLDRUSH. Throughout the race, WINNING SUPREME travelled wide and without cover. After the race, it was reported that LEAN AMBASSADOR had bled from both nostrils. As this was the third occasion that LEAN AMBASSADOR had been found to have bled during a race, the horse will be compulsorily retired. A veterinary inspection of FAIRY TWINS immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. SUNNY BOY and AMBITIOUS HEART were sent for sampling. <6/5/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that FORZA ANGEL was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, FORZA ANGEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
