MASSIVE MILLENNIUM was withdrawn on 4.7.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right front capped elbow) and was replaced by first Standby Declared Starter EXPONENTS. EXPONENTS was subsequently withdrawn on 6.7.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by second Standby Declared Starter SPEEDY WALLY (M F Poon). Before being allowed to race again, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM and EXPONENTS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PERFECT CHOICE began only fairly. FORTUNE HAPPINESS shifted out at the start and inconvenienced GUERDON HELMET. MASSIVE MOVE began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of CHARITYDREAM, causing MASSIVE MOVE to lose ground and CHARITYDREAM to become unbalanced. Despite being hard ridden for some distance in the early stages, JIMSON THE FAMOUS failed to muster speed. Throughout the race, CHARITYDREAM travelled wide and without cover and then made the turn near the 700 Metres awkwardly. Passing the 250 Metres, STAR SUPERIOR and WAYFOONG CHARMER brushed. Close to the finishing line, STAR SUPERIOR raced tight outside WAYFOONG CHARMER which shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of WINNING CIRCLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WAYFOONG CHARMER and STAR SUPERIOR were sent for sampling.
