From wide barriers, CITRON SPIRIT and WAIKUKU were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When joining up with the course proper near the 1500 Metres, KA YING STAR got its head on the side and shifted out.
INDY CHAMP was badly held up for clear running from on straightening until approaching the 200 Metres at which stage the horse was shifted to the inside of ZAAKI.
PERSIAN KNIGHT had difficulty obtaining clear running from on straightening until approaching the 300 Metres.
Throughout the race, SIMPLY BRILLIANT travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of KA YING STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BEAUTY GENERATION, ADMIRE MARS and WAIKUKU were sent for sampling.
