The start was delayed when DOLLAR REWARD proved difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, DOLLAR REWARD will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. SUPREME PATROL began awkwardly and then lost ground when bumped by FORTUNE HAPPINESS which shifted out. FORTUNE PATROL began only fairly. READY CONQUEROR shifted out at the start and bumped WILL POWER. After initially being ridden along in the early stages, POWER KING failed to muster speed and was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover after travelling a short distance. Approaching the 900 Metres, BULB ELITE raced tight inside WILL POWER. Passing the 800 Metres, COOLCELEB, shifted out and brushed WILL POWER. COOLCELEB then shifted in abruptly away from WILL POWER, resulting in STAR SUPERIOR (H N Wong) being crowded for room inside COOLCELEB and becoming unbalanced. STAR SUPERIOR then brushed the running rail making the turn near the 700 Metres. After the race, H N Wong reported that after being crowded for room at this stage, STAR SUPERIOR came off the bridle and then did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of STAR SUPERIOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, STAR SUPERIOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Approaching the turn near the 700 Metres, BULB ELITE lay in away from POWER KING which was awkwardly placed behind COOLCELEB. DOLLAR REWARD got its head on the side and lay out rounding the Home Turn. Close to the finishing line, READY CONQUEROR lay in towards the heels of POWER KING, requiring its rider to stop riding and shift READY CONQUEROR away from the heels of POWER KING. A veterinary inspection of SUPREME PATROL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WILL POWER and DOLLAR REWARD were sent for sampling.
