STORM WARNINGS was checked on jumping when crowded for room between REFINED TREASURE and KING’S EMINENCE which shifted out abruptly.
CZARSON shifted out at the start and bumped CALIFORNIA ARCHER.
Near the 50 Metres, TOTAL EXCESS was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of WAR OF COURAGE.
For the majority of the race, TOTAL EXCESS raced with its head on the side and lay in.
After the race, K Teetan reported that he was unable to explain the disappointing performance of CALIFORNIA ARCHER which he said did not travel as strongly at any stage of the race as it had when ridden by him previously. A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA ARCHER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that REFINED TREASURE was lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, REFINED TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
BALTIC WHISPER and WAR OF COURAGE were sent for sampling.
