Whilst being transported to Happy Valley, SUPER CLASS became fractious and momentarily got its left front leg over a partition. SUPER CLASS was subsequently examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. BOOMING WELL jumped only fairly. TRONIC MIGHTY also jumped only fairly and then from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. On jumping, BELL OF VICTORY was crowded for room between SUPER CLASS which jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made heavy contact with BELL OF VICTORY and TREASURE OF FIELD which was taken out by KOWLOON EAST STAR. BELL OF VICTORY and TREASURE OF FIELD were then shifted across behind runners in the early stages from wide barriers. SUNSHINE LEGENDARY jumped awkwardly and a short distance later was bumped by UNIVERSAL CROWN which shifted out. UNIVERSAL CROWN, which was slow to begin, was crowded shortly after the start by SHENRON which shifted out. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, SHENRON failed to show sufficient speed to take up a more forward position. Near the 800 Metres, BOOMING WELL commenced to race keenly when being crossed by DAY DAY RICH. BOOMING WELL then continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter. TRONIC MIGHTY raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 700 Metres was steadied away from the heels of SHENRON. TRONIC MIGHTY then brushed the running rail near the 650 Metres and was shifted to the outside of SHENRON to obtain clear running near the 300 Metres. BELL OF VICTORY raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and after the 500 Metres was inclined to lay out. On straightening, UNIVERSAL CROWN was steadied and shifted to the inside of TRONIC MIGHTY to secure clear running. Near the 200 Metres, TREASURE OF FIELD was disappointed for running between SUNSHINE LEGENDARY and SUPER CLASS which shifted in slightly. TREASURE OF FIELD was then shifted to the outside of SUPER CLASS and was obliged to shift out further to the outside of BOOMING WELL near the 150 Metres to secure clear running. SUPER CLASS raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, C Wong reported that BELL OF VICTORY was making a respiratory noise during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection of BELL OF VICTORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SUNSHINE LEGENDARY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SHENRON immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SHENRON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SHENRON, DIAMOND SOARS and KOWLOON EAST STAR were sent for sampling.
