EXCELLENT PEERS was slow to begin and then was hampered when crowded by CZARSON which shifted in. From a wide barrier, WONDER KIT was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the race, K Teetan (E UNIVERSE) reported that his intention was to settle closer on his mount, but after bumping with LUCKY ARCHANGEL on jumping, E UNIVERSE settled slightly further back than intended. He added that E UNIVERSAL did not respond to his riding in the Straight and, in his opinion, was somewhat disappointing. A veterinary inspection of E UNIVERSE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Also after the race, M Dee (TOMODACHI KOKOROE) reported that his mount raced too keenly and was left without a finishing effort.
