Two weeks ago, this horse ran disappointingly over a Happy Valley 1200m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and showing an initial surge in the middle stages before fading. He finished seventh, beaten three lengths. Switching to a dirt mile now for his first attempt at this distance, he benefits from a two-pound weight reduction, draws an inside barrier but is expected to be held up with a strong finishing kick. While the current form appears promising, this distance may not suit him best.
