Maintaining a steady pace, it made a late run but was beaten by one and a half lengths, finishing fifth. After an initial dirt trial over 1200m, this time with a one-pound weight reduction, the distance is unfavorable. However, it demonstrated ability to track the leaders and maintain a good position, suggesting a decent chance; further observation after one run is recommended.
