On March 24th, a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m saw this horse jump slightly slow but finish with a strong surge towards the end. Seven weeks prior, it ran a respectable race over Sha Tin’s 1400m, also jumping slowly and settling back in the field. It showed good momentum but was beaten two and a half lengths for sixth. After a short break, a barrier trial didn't quite meet expectations. Making its Hong Kong debut after transferring stables, it last ran over Happy Valley’s 1200m, and will now carry an additional 16 pounds this time. It has yet to win in four attempts at this distance, drawing a poor barrier. The likely tactic is to settle back, but the finishing kick may not be competitive enough. Despite similar times within its group, winning chances appear slim.
