On March 28th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse lose ground and show weakness. Four weeks ago in a similar race, it performed adequately despite a slow start, settling towards the rear before making a move in the middle stages but failing to catch up. A recent barrier trial didn't fully prepare the horse. This time carrying a one-pound deduction, with comparable times within its group and drawing a good barrier, the horse appears well positioned. Compared to other contenders, it possesses relatively stronger ability. Harry Bentley takes the ride, gaining some understanding of the horse’s capabilities; preparation seems thorough but a hold-up tactic may prove insufficient due to a weaker finishing kick than rivals. Trainer and jockey aren't ideally aligned, with hopes limited to finishing closer to the field.
