Four weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over 1200m at Happy Valley, jumping slowly and settling towards the back before making a mid-race move and chasing Last Kingdom. In a subsequent trial over a short course at Happy Valley, it will carry four pounds less in this race. Having performed well over this distance previously and drawing a good barrier, the horse underwent gate work practice. Despite not showing strong times in those drills, its chances shouldn't be discounted.
