Five weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed well, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and launching an attack in the middle stages. It was chasing Last Kingdom but only lost by half a length, finishing fifth. This time with a one-pound weight reduction, having previously won twice at this distance, and facing decent competition within its group, it is expected to be held up for a strong finishing kick – potentially the strongest in the field. The jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities, and the trainer/jockey combination appears positive. Despite drawing a poor barrier, winning prospects remain good.
