Four weeks ago, this horse ran well over a Sha Tin 1600m, jumping moderately and settling towards the back before making a mid-race move to chase the leaders, ultimately finishing third, beaten by half a length. Now stepping up in class to a Sha Tin 2000m – a first attempt at this distance – he carries an additional three pounds this time. He has the potential to track the pace setters and could even lead, with a good rapport between jockey and trainer. The horse is showing improved fitness following gatework exercises; despite the distance potentially not being ideal and facing a challenging draw, a clean break and commitment to tracking the leaders should see him finish among the frontrunners.
