Two weeks ago, this horse ran impressively over a Sha Tin 1800m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders before finishing strongly in the final two sections with fast times. He finished fifth, beaten two and a half lengths. In a subsequent trial over 1600m at Sha Tin, he will carry three pounds less this time and faces favorable competition times. The plan is to settle him back in the field and rely on his finishing kick which is considered strong within the group. Compared to other contenders, he possesses a noticeable advantage in ability. Trainer and jockey maintain a reasonable level of trust; despite drawing an outside barrier, a forward showing would not be surprising.
