On April 17th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m (sections recorded as 9-9-5), circling wide on the turn and making some ground under urging in the straight. Five weeks ago, over the same distance, it ran respectably, slow to jump but settling towards the rear before showing an effort in the middle stages with a good run. A recent barrier trial didn't demonstrate significant improvement. This time, it will carry one pound more weight and is competing against similarly timed horses. Drawing an inside barrier with a trainer-jockey partnership that appears compatible; however, despite potentially settling towards the rear, its finishing kick may not be strong enough to challenge opponents, making its prospects questionable.
