On April 25th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections: 5-5-6), the horse travelled on the outside rail and ran smoothly. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin Turf 1200m race, the performance was disappointing; a slow start saw it settle towards the rear with an even pace but lacking a finishing kick, finishing eighth beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial did not show any improvement. This will be its first attempt at 1600m on turf, carrying one pound more this time around. The distance is unfavorable, and its finishing speed appears to be a concern; even if able to settle in a good position tracking the leaders, it’s recommended to observe another race before assessing its chances.
