Two weeks ago, this horse ran exceptionally well over a Sha Tin 1400m race, tracking the leader and finishing strongly in the final two sections to secure second place. He was beaten by only two and a half lengths, demonstrating good ability. Now stepping up to a Sha Tin mile for the first time, he carries just a one-pound weight increase this time, which should suit him well. He has potential to lead early. Hugh Bowman takes the ride, with some understanding of the horse’s capabilities, and trainer/jockey have mutual trust. Despite drawing an outside barrier and potentially lacking a strong finishing kick, a clean jump and intent to lead should see him finish among the frontrunners.
