On April 28th, a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m saw the horse travel comfortably and show good acceleration in the middle stages. Six weeks ago, this horse performed well over 2000m on Sha Tin turf, jumping moderately but settling towards the rear before making a strong move in the middle section of the race with sustained effort. A recent barrier trial indicated slight improvement. Stepping up in class and trying 2400m on the turf for the first time, this horse benefits from a five-pound weight reduction. The distance is expected to suit him, and he should be able to settle in a good position tracking the leaders with an advantageous inside draw. He possesses a clear advantage in ability compared to other contenders and appears well-prepared, remaining a threat.
