On April 22nd, a dirt trial over 1200m saw this horse travel in midfield positions (5th-5th-2nd). Five weeks ago in the same distance race, performance was satisfactory, settling well and tracking the leaders. The horse made a mid-race move but lacked the stamina to finish strongly. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This time around with a 2lb weight reduction, facing comparable opposition, there’s potential for an early lead. Last work included gate speed drills. Despite drawing an outside barrier, a clean break and intent to lead are key to its chances.
