On April 29th, (dirt trial 1200m: 6-5-5) showed a lack of acceleration under urging on the straight. On March 3rd, (dirt trial 1200m: 2-2-8) tracked the pace for two sections but faded on the straight. Eight weeks ago in a race over the same distance, it performed poorly, slow to jump and settled at the back before making a mid-race move that lacked staying power resulting in a significant defeat. After a short break, two barrier trials haven’t shown expected progress. This time with a 2lb weight reduction, its group timing is unfavorable. However, it has the potential for an early speed advantage and benefits from a decent draw; a clean jump and determined attempt to lead will be crucial for improvement.
