A turf trial over 800m on April 7th saw an extremely fast jump out, followed by relaxed running under restraint (1-1-4). Three months ago in its previous race over this distance, the performance was poor; it jumped slowly and settled towards the rear with a steady pace but lacked a finishing kick. After a short break, three barrier trials showed moderate form. This time the horse benefits from a six-pound weight reduction. However, it has failed to win in five attempts at this distance, and is expected to settle back in the field; its finishing speed is unlikely to match rivals, presenting an unfavorable scenario. The benefit of reasonable times within its group and a decent barrier draw offer some hope for improvement.
