On May 5th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw this horse finish with a lack of early speed but made late ground. Six weeks ago, it ran poorly in a Sha Tin mile, settling well and maintaining a steady pace without showing a strong turn of foot. A recent barrier trial performance was considered satisfactory. Having dropped 25 pounds in body weight after the last run, this horse is returning to racing for its first start at Happy Valley over a mile. It will carry an additional 12 pounds this time, which is a disadvantage despite having four wins from thirteen starts at this distance. The opposition's times are comparable. Drawing a good barrier and showing positive work, however, there aren’t any obvious advantages currently.
