On 2/5, a dirt trial over 1200m saw an unremarkable performance with no sign of returning to previous form. Five weeks ago, this horse ran well over a Sha Tin mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before finishing with a strong run, beaten three lengths for fifth place. A recent barrier trial showed it unable to keep pace with the leaders. Returning to Happy Valley over a mile in its first start, the horse benefits from a two-pound weight reduction but lacks the necessary finishing kick. While having won twice at this distance previously, the overall time was not impressive and despite drawing a good barrier, it’s not considered a strong contender for this race.
